About Us


Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions is the newest division of the Construction and Mining Technique business area, created when Atlas Copco acquired Ingersoll-Rand Drilling Solutions at the end of Q2, 2004.



The division has its head office and main production site in Garland, TX, USA, further production sites in the USA, China, Japan and India, as well as an international sales, service and distribution network. The division is responsible for the R&D, manufacturing and marketing of a wide range of rotary drilling equipment and consumables for surface mining, deep-hole drilling, civil construction, waterwell, aggregate/quarry, and oil and gas markets around the world. The division employs about 950 people worldwide.

Travel directions:
 By air: Fly into DFW or Love Field, Dallas, Airports

From: DFW Airport:
Take North Exit out of the airport. Stay in right lanes after exiting tollbooth. Exit at 635 East. Continue several miles. Exit Hwy. 75 North (exits off left side) Exit at Beltline Road and turn right onto Beltline Road. Continue several miles. (Major cross streets: Greenville, Plano, J upiter, Shiloh) As Beltline makes a wide curve, move into the left lane. Turn left onto Crist Rd. You can see the plant from the intersection.

From Love Field:
Exit Love Field. Turn Left onto Mockingbird Lane, follow Mockingbird as it curves around to the right. Take left onto the Dallas North Tollway. Exit Tollway onto 635 East (LBJ Freeway) Exit left onto Hwy. 75 North. Exit right onto Beltline Road. Go East on Beltline. Continue several miles to Crist Road. Turn left onto Crist. The f acility can be seen from the intersection.
